Anakin ARTZ -- Who is he and what it means to be a rapper?

If you are someone who loves rap music, you probably know what ‘rap music’ is and what it means to be a rapper. Rap which is delivered over a beat or performed a cappella without any instrumental accompaniment is closely associated with hip-hop music. Known to be a gray area between prose, speech, poetry, and singing, rap is traced back to African roots and is also known as hip-hop. The first delivery as rap song was made by the Sugarhill Gang in 1979 which became widely popular in the arena of mainstream music.

The rap or hip-hop was often called ‘the living blues’ by Wald and one of the good examples of this was a 1950 song by Joe Hill Louis. In the early 1970s what started at the block parties in New York was followed by many MCs and rappers because it kept the audience engaged and rocking.

So, now wouldn’t you like to know about Anakin ARTZ -- the new age rapper? Would you like to know how massive is his social media following and what makes him a super rapper? Would you want to hear ‘No Sleep’, ‘Force’, or, his latest Newyork and Newport song?

The less is being told about Anakin ARTZ, the rapper, the better it is as he is someone whose work as an artist doesn’t need words to be described. ARTZ is one guy who has been radically transformed from a New York hustler to a rap extraordinaire. Coming from a blue-collar family, he never regretted what wasn’t available to him, but rather gave his best to what he had -- something that’s akin to the making of lemonade when provided with lemons.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, ARTZ was surrounded by people who loved hip-hop and enjoyed the rap music culture. ARTZ is someone who recorded his first ‘rap song’ at the age of 15 and has today a long list of songs to his credit including but not limited to ‘No Sleep’, ‘Force’, ‘Automatic’ and ‘NewYork and Newport’.

ARTZ conveniently branded himself a ‘Reject’ with a ‘Dream’ and thus his community of misfits known as ‘Reject Dreams’ was born. You would be a cynic if you thought he stood for things that an average rapper did. Reject Dreams, ARTZ confesses, is more about the ‘way of life’ for people who have been ostracized by some social groups. Rejection according to ARTZ has added fuel to his passion -- the passion to sing -- than discourage him.

Of late, ARTZ is busy with his webisodes where he along with his co-hosts talk about the idea of being underdogs, Rejects, and more. All in all, ARTZ is one who you shall always love for being the one-in-kind of a rapper.
